International Game Technology PLC (IGT) has announced that its Italian subsidiary, IGT Lottery, has received the European Lotteries (EL) Responsible Gaming Certification for the sixth consecutive time.
Additionally, through an agreement between EL and the World Lottery Association (WLA), IGT Lottery has obtained WLA Responsible Gaming Certification Level 4, the highest level of accreditation available.
The EL Responsible Gaming Certification is designed to ensure that member organizations implement best practices in responsible gaming. Its framework aligns with WLA’s Responsible Gaming Principles, allowing companies that meet EL’s rigorous standards to simultaneously qualify for WLA Level 4 certification.
IGT Lottery’s responsible gaming program follows international best practices and is regularly updated to align with evolving regulatory standards. The program focuses on three core principles: promoting a positive approach to gaming, preventing underage gambling, and providing support for players in need.
The certification process involved a comprehensive review of IGT Lottery’s responsible gaming tools, activities, and operational processes in Italy. The assessment confirmed that IGT Lottery fully adheres to EL’s international standards, achieving a perfect score across all ten evaluation criteria.
