Kenya’s Regulator, BCLB, Launches a Nationwide Responsible Betting Campaign.

The Betting Control and Licensing Board (BCLB) has launched the Chukua Control campaign to promote responsible betting across Kenya.

Speaking at the Nairobi launch event, BCLB Chair Jane Mwikali emphasized that the initiative is part of the board’s broader strategy to raise awareness about the risks of irresponsible gambling and provide support for people struggling with addiction.

BCLB had suspended gambling advertisements on media platforms. This suspension is set to expire on May 29th, after which new guidelines will be reviewed to support those affected by gambling-related challenges.

BCLB will also collaborate with the Ministry of Health to establish a toll-free call centre within a week to offer assistance.
